-hi! we are loufu -and our debut cd “loufu, album” will be released in danmark 8. nov. 2004 after our first gatefold single “wind blow ep” was released 24. maj 2004 in england through the liverpool label robot! records and now available in UK shops... -loufu is a coorporation project between artist-singer-songwriter louise fuhr (loufu) and musicians troels bech and john krog, all 3 originally from langeskov in the island fyn, in the center of denmark, but now living in the capital copenhagen... -the style is hazy, calm / melancholy pop of cheek-to-cheek-dancing with a light female vocal, 60’s drummashines, low-fi sounds, basslines and guitarsounds mixed with a touch of modern, electronic sounds, - an athmospheric, yet basic music recipe... -lou got a guitar as a christmas gift in 1995, started writing and recording own songs on very few, basic chords and in 1998 the first loufu demo of five tracks was finished in troels' “apartment” - studio "mir"... -john came along on the bass in spring 2000 where we began to rehearse for two open air summer concerts in copenhagen, in a park (østre anlæg) and by the beach (amager strand) as a part of the art happening turné "mobil scene"... -the following years louise wrote more songs, recorded some tracks, brought it to troels’ studio, the now professional "das boot cph” and all the rest we finished together... 12 songs is now due to be released by ourselves in DK, and later on in UK by robot! records... -in DK we distribute ourselves, so for now “loufu, album” is available through our website and in the copenhagen recordshops: -circles - gl. kongevej 39 - 1610 københavn v... |
